Tango Workshops
Silvina & Murat
This series of musicality workshops, led by Silvina Tse and Murat Erdemsel, will guide dancers to a deeper understanding of the soul of tango. The courses progress from basic to advanced, analyzing the core elements of musical form, rhythm, and melody, and building a clear listening ability. Advanced musicality compares the simplicity and complexity of musical textures. Special sessions on Donato and Biagi analyze repetitive rhythms, symmetrical motifs, and rhythmic surprises.

Event Purpose:
To use a fun popularity vote to raise awareness of tango music among dancers and to help aspiring DJs better understand dancers’ preferences.
Eligibility:
Anyone attending the Taiwan Tango Jam M2 Grand milonga on April 25th, who is currently a DJ (must provide proof) or has taken at least one Damian online lesson, is eligible to participate.
Participation and Voting Method:
Registration and submissions open on April 17th. During the Grand milonga on April 25th, DJ Damian and DJ Andy El Oso will arrange the playlist according to the flow of the milonga. Tanda will be announced on-site, and submissions will be anonymous. Dancers in attendance can vote according to their preferences; each dancer receives one vote for each tanda.
Results Announcement:
Voting will close 10 minutes after the Grand milonga ends on April 25th. The organizers will immediately take photos and upload them to the Facebook group. The 3 tanda with the most votes will win and the award ceremony will be held publicly before the M3 milonga on April 26th.
