This class invites dancers to “reset” the body through myofascial release, gently letting go of long-held tension and restoring natural movement. We begin with the plantar fascia and calves to rebuild a stable foundation. Then we release the front and inner thighs, glutes, and iliopsoas along the deep front line to allow greater freedom in leg extension. Finally, we address the often-overlooked latissimus dorsi to ease back tension and improve fluidity in turns and transitions. In one hour, experience a deep dialogue with your fascia—clearing physical restrictions and moving with greater ease.
About Instructor
Since 2017, Rachel Liao has worked at Zhishentang Traditional Manual Therapy, specializing in structural alignment and pain relief with extensive hands-on experience across age groups. Integrating manual therapy principles with foam rolling techniques, she developed the “Foam Roller & Massage Ball Myofascial Release” course, trusted by ballet teachers and dancers for pre-training activation and post-training recovery. As a Vipassana practitioner, she views relaxation as a gentle dialogue with oneself, guiding students to rediscover physical flow and inner calm through the release of muscular tension.
